Recruitment – Development Worker
CCRYS now wish to recruit a Development Worker
The successful candidate will work in partnership with local youth groups, volunteers and young people. This post will focus on the growth and implementation of CCRYS volunteer development strategy. This will include regional support, the co-ordination of training with local youth groups and the facilitation of cross community programmes.
The ideal candidate will have a real commitment to the ethos and values of the service and fit one of the following three profile requirements:
- A professionally endorsed qualification in Youth and Community Work is essential and 2 years experience of working with young people is desirable
- An equivalent professional qualification or degree and 2 years full time youth and community work experience is essential
- Experience of working as a full time youth worker without formal qualifications for at least 3 years is essential.
In addition to the above, the candidate will demonstrate a strong knowledge and understanding of youth work, have a proven track record of relevant experience and possess a range of practical skills and attributes suited to the strategic objectives of the Canal Communities Regional Youth Service.
